Renew, Resurrect, Rise Anew

Renew, Resurrect, Rise Anew

Whatever Easter means to you — celebrate that.

It’s spring, it’s rebirth, it’s rising above, it’s ascending.

It’s a breath of fresh air.

Lay to rest the old and let the new come to life.

It’s religious, it’s spiritual, it’s metaphysical, it’s metaphorical.

And it’s kind of magical, too.

It’s the first Sunday after the first full moon following the northern spring equinox.

There are bunnies, colourful eggs, baby chicks and little lambs.

Easter, Passover, Pasch, Resurrection Sunday.

White lilies.

Forty days without.

Time to celebrate.

Fat Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, Lent, Palm Sunday, Holy Week, Good Friday, Holy Saturday,

Easter Sunday, Easter Monday.

Easter bonnets. Pastel colours. Painted eggs.

Sunrise services. Churches fill.

Easter dinner.

Celebrate it all.

Whatever it means to you — that’s what matters.
